Everyone has goals, some of us may call them dreams, on which we base our level of success. In pursuing such dreams most of us forget to embrace the process. We are so focused on the result that we forget to find joy in the small wins and embrace our experiences along the way. Every successful journey has been met with challenges and setbacks but it’s our perception of these obstacles that affects the outcome. We need to nurture our minds with positive thoughts: kindness, empathy, joy, humility, and compassion so we can find the beauty it what we already have or have accomplished. If we can not be grateful for the gifts we already have then can we expect our levels of happiness to change when we have “reached” the top?
